Chy was born and raised in Chicago, and in 2007, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Community Health and Wellness at Northeastern Illinois University. During her final term, Chy felt God call her into full-time ministry, and exchanged her plans for His. In two years’ time, she went on a trajectory-changing missions trip to Uganda. As her heart for reaching the nations grew, Chy enrolled in the pioneer class of FIRE Chicago in 2010. There, her teaching gift began to surface and develop.
Since graduating from FIRE Chicago in 2012, Chy has taught lectures at the school, as well as taken on some leadership and teaching roles at Cross Culture Church in Chicago. Chy is currently studying to be a Master of Arts in New Testament at Northern Seminary.
